Mary Janestarted sewing at a very young age and made much of her own clothing. She loved to work with fabric, colors and design. In the early 60's, The May Company and Seventeen Magazine had a contest. The objective was to create a table setting show casing your individual "style." Contestants could use anything in the store. How inspiring! WOW! And don't you know it Mary Jane won the contest. Her contest success was fuel to her creative fire and served further, to ignite her a love of textiles and design.
In 1993, Mary Jane opened The Christmas Shoppe as a means to sell her handcrafted, one-of-a-kind Santas. By 1997, Mary Jane switched her focus to quilting. This led Mary Jane to a life on the road selling fabrics at quilt shows, which made building an internet shop a natural. ln 2OO8, the Holly Hill QuiltDesigns Pattern company was formed. To date, Mary Jane has designed 26 patterns under the Holly Hill QuiltDesign's name. Mary Jane has been published in 2 quilting magazines. She is currently working on a Christmas book with Leisure Arts due out in 2013. Now another dream for Mary Jane has come true. Mary Jane has designed her first fabric collection with Henry Glass & Co., Inc. called "Ninth & Vine". Holly Hill Quilt Design is located in Richmond, New Hampshire.
