Jill Finley of Jillily Studio
Jill Finley has been designing quilt patterns for over 10 years. Two years ago she launched her design business, Jillily Studio. She designs and sells quilt patterns, kits and notions. Her quilt designs depict her own fresh style. Jill loves using great color and texture with many fabrics and she usually adds a little appliqué to soften and finish each design. Her designs have been featured in several magazines including American Patchwork and Quilting, Quilt, and Quilter’s Home.
Jill says she is inspired by many quilting friends and family. She has been teaching quilting classes for over 10 years. “I love to share the joy and satisfaction that I get from playing with fabric with anyone who is interested, sometimes even if they aren’t!” Jill is also the designer of a notions line, starting with her first new product, Jillily Studio Appli-Glue. It is an archival quality basting glue for use in appliqué. She hopes to bring many more notions to the quilting world in the future.
While Jill stays busy filling orders for patterns, notions and kits, she still makes time for new designs. Creating a fabric line for Henry Glass has been one of her favorite projects. “It is so great to see my designs actually become fabric. I love what I do, it is a joy to be able to create new designs and have others enjoy them too.” Jill loves to spend time with her family; working, playing, eating, reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, learning, and just being. She and her husband Randy live in Highland Utah. They are the parents of seven children and are blessed with two grandchildren.
